The Lamington and District Angling Improvement Association is an organization that control 9 miles of quality wild Brown Trout fishing on the River. The association controls the stretch of the river Clyde from Boat Bridge, Thankerton, to the Bower Pool at Roberton, which is made up of eighteen leases and both banks of the river. The river is crystal clear with a gravel bottom and easily wadeable, running through open country on the upper Clyde. The association encourages, catch and release to protect the fishery. The association provides season or day permits for wild Brown Trout and Grayling fishing on the river, which can be purchased from their permit outlets. The association's website provides information about their fishing rules, maps, permit outlets, and more.
