Above you will find the Rules for Coarse angling on Strathclyde Loch & the River Clyde in the boundary.

Some anglers think that no permit is required for this fishing but permits must be purchased prior to fishing the loch or the river (see map for exceptions)

Permits are available from the watersports centre.

Bailiffing:

The River is patrolled by goverment appointed Salmon bailiffs who are commissioned to check all tackle & angling methods. Please cooperate at all times when asked.

Permit prices:

NO SALMON OR SEA TROUT FISHING PERMITED ON THE RIVER BETWEEN MOTHERWELL BRIDGE & BOTHWELL BRIDGE. ANYONE CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF SALMON / SEA TROUT FISHING WILL BE SUBJECT TO PROSECUTION.
